Meet The Face Behind Straight Forward Mortgages

I’m Stephen Guertin, the proud owner of Straight Forward Mortgages. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

From a young age, I always wanted to help people. I was also blessed with an understanding of numbers and a passion for financial knowledge. In 2008, after completing my education, I decided to help find creative ways to assist clients in getting and paying off mortgages faster and started Straight Forward Mortgages to a tremendous response.

In the twelve and a half years I have been in this business, qualifying for a mortgage has regrettably become increasingly tricky and much more complicated. Now, there are many more rules, considerably more regulations, and a plethora of lending options that can confuse you and throw you off your game.

The part of my business that I most enjoy is simplifying the mortgage process and finding lending solutions that amaze and delight. I also find meeting new people and helping them achieve their goals through a combination of financial awareness and current information highly rewarding and deeply fulfilling.

I believe that if I put my clients first, business success will automatically follow and concentrate on what I can do for you rather than solely on profit and gains. 

As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my commitment to integrity and truth. In my practice, I ensure frank and honest communication as, in my opinion, telling the truth no matter the consequences helps avoid nasty surprises and keeps my clients informed. 

I attribute my success to my commitment to my customers, straightforward nature and hard work. The loyalty of my clients and increasing repeat business that has come my way over the years, I believe, is thanks to my eye for detail and consistency with which I tend to deliver.  

Helping hundreds of families move into their dream homes has given me immense satisfaction over the years and still inspires me to do more. 

When I am not at work, I enjoy time with my family, small tasks around the house, and team sports like soccer, volleyball, etc.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
